Turret COFFEE Tsukiji
Tucked into a Tsukiji side street, Turret Coffee serves bold, espresso-forward lattes alongside treats like dorayaki and carrot cake.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
For coffee drinkers who favor a punchy balance of deep espresso bitterness and rich milk, the signature Turret Latte makes a natural starting point. The shop pairs a robust dark roast with creamy steamed milk, alongside an even more concentrated Turret Latte Gold that pulls back on the milk to bring the roasted edge forward. The menu ranges from clean regular and iced lattes to Americanos and straight espresso, letting visitors dial in their preferred strength.
Specialty variations and milk substitutes provide plenty of alternatives. Drinks include nutty almond and oat milk lattes, a Hawaiian sea salt caramel latte balancing sweet and savory notes, and rotating seasonal latte macchiatos. The menu also branches into adventurous territory with creations like the Kawasaki Latte, which combines rich espresso with Yamazaki whisky.
Among the sweets, the Turret Dorayaki was developed explicitly to accompany coffee. Fluffy pancake layers sandwich lightly sweetened red bean paste made from Hokkaido adzuki beans, finished with a subtle touch of butter that complements dark-roasted espresso. Guests can also pick up the shop's carrot cake or assorted cookies, ideal for an unhurried morning pause or a light afternoon bite.
Turret Coffee occupies a compact space tucked into a backstreet near Tsukiji Station. With limited indoor seating, a bench outside, and convenient takeaway service, it fits smoothly into a morning neighborhood stroll or a quick detour while wandering the area.
